A Scalable Solution

The CTT Node™ has revolutionized how we study the movement of wildlife outfitted with digitally-coded radios. Because of weight limitations for small species, radio tags are forced to go without a GPS unit. Thanks to the innovation of our Nodes, however, researchers can automatically detect and localize tags from our suite of CTT LifeTags, PowerTags, and HybridTags. 

Our Node v2 brings added positional accuracy, onboard data storage, and over-the-air software updates, giving you the latest and greatest for your wildlife tracking project.


Most commonly deployed in a grid fashion, CTT Nodes triangulate radio signals to achieve near GPS-accurate locations (~+/- 30m). Nodes then automatically upload tag detection data to your base station, creating a dense, high-resolution tracking network.


A large, high-efficiency solar panel is coupled with an MPPT charge controller, allowing the Node to keep its batteries topped off in almost all lighting conditions. The high-capacity batteries also allow the Node to function up to a week without any direct sunlight.


Each CTT Node has a detectable range of about 250-300 meters and is able to relay data to a base station as far away as several kilometers.
